VTE was most glad to welcome on Friday 26 March 2010, scholars from Istituto tecnico commerciale Casaregis-Einaudi. This was the first visit of a larger terminal visits programme which has been launched by VTE in cooperation with the Genoa Port Centre and with the Genoa Port Authority and Provincia di Genova.

This initiative aims giving the opportunity to scholars to visit and come directly into contact with the Port of Genoa, at least once during the course of their education. In particular, we would like to show scholars the complex terminal organization, the skills and the advanced operational technologies which ensure, on a daily basis, the handling of a huge number of import/export containers and goods.

This initiative is part of an educational programme promoted by the Genoa Port Center, an educational pole and a permanent show area in the Port of Genoa, which has been created and supported by all public and private operators and institutions of the entire Genoese Port business.
